Dr. Rodney Necciai was recently promoted to an Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Leadership. He had been the principal of Pittsburgh Langley K-8, located in the west end of the city since it opened in 2012, as well as a principal in the Pittsburgh Public Schools since 1999. Prior to his time in administration, he was a teacher and a coach in both Pittsburgh and Tampa, Florida, for eight years. Dr. Necciai has facilitated professional development at the local, state, national, and international level, including a session at the IIRP World Conference in May 2017. All of his 26 years of educational experience have been in urban settings. He received his Doctorate in Administrative and Policy Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.
