Jodie Hemerda, Ph.D., is the Director of Instructional Design and Academic Quality at Bridgepoint Education, where she supports innovative curricular development for the University of the Rockies and Ashford University. She is an enthusiastic educational professional! Jodie earned her Ph.D. in Education specializing in educational technology from Walden University. Her research interests are in the study of instructional feedback for improving student performance, which includes educational technology, teaching and learning, learning communities and self-directed learning. Jodie’s professional experience includes being a business owner, educator, academic, volunteer, social justice advocate, educational and operational technology director and curriculum innovator. She has been teaching adults in higher education for more than 12 years. Jodie is fortunate to work with incredibly talented and wonderfully gifted mentors who remind her to live with empathy and integrity. In turn, it is her privilege to support students in their learning journey.
